Copper – Regional Exploration

In addition to the Nifty Copper Operations and the Maroochydore Copper-Cobalt Development Project, Metals X controls 2,960km2 of the highly prospective Neoproterozoic Yeenena Supergroup of the Paterson Province.

While Metals X is predominantly focussed on copper, the Paterson Province is prospective for gold, cobalt, lead, zinc, manganese and tungsten and hosts the world class Telfer gold mine. In addition, in early 2019, Rio Tinto announced the discovery of the Winu copper-gold deposit, which is shaping up to be a very large tonnage, modest grade deposit which continues to be assessed.

Metals X are actively exploring its substantial ground holding using cutting-edge geophysical and geochemical techniques. A large “pipeline” of targets and prospects has been developed and these are being methodically tested on a priority basis.
