Regional Exploration
Through its 50% equity interest in the Bluestone Mines Tasmania Joint Venture (BMTJV), Metals X holds rights in 45km2 of highly prospective tenure surrounding Renison which includes extensions of the favourable geological host packages.
These include the Late Neoproterozoic to Palaeozoic sedimentary and volcanic sequences of the Success Creek Group and Crimson Creek Formation that have been intruded by Devonian aged granites, which have driven the hydrothermal fluids responsible for carbonate replacement tin mineralisation.
While the BMTJV is predominantly focussed on tin mining and exploration, the region is also considered prospective for lead, zinc and nickel.
BMTJV is actively exploring its large ground holding using cutting-edge geophysical and geochemical techniques and have developed a “pipeline” of targets that are being methodically tested on a priority basis.
